Nutmeg Nor’easter Ten
Another one in the books. The Nor’easter maintains its position at the very top of my list of bike events. This one seemed extra good. Maybe it was just me feeling a little more settled in my own skin after a chaotic summer but I really felt like I could be in the moment and really enjoy the conversations and little interactions with so many friends. Like always, the event was filled with many familiar faces. It really is the nerdy summer camp reunion. It is as cheesy as it sounds. Lots of hugs and laughter. I always leave this weekend with more friends than I start with. It’s that good. To top it all off, we had great weather. It was cold at night but I was cozy in the back of the benzo wagon with my extra blankets. My only complaint was that no one told me to pace myself better with the pizza slices from Fire In The Kitchen. I really should have slowed down a little. But I survived it. I took less pictures this year than usual but I feel like there are a few gems. So here they are.
